I AM IRONMAN

Go see it. Honestly, there've been a lot of these comic book remakes in the past 5 years. Some hit, some miss. This one nailed it. Perfect start to the Summer Movie Season. But on a sidenote, and at the risk of being called a hater, is it just me or is Terrance Howard's voice annoying as hell? He's a good actor and all, but that voice - I don't know.

It's been a long time...

Damn...I fell off. I'm back though, better than ever...but i've been busy, I know you understand..anyway. So I went to see Hov and Mary on Friday night (May 2, 2008) at the legendary Madison Square Garden. I'll save the detailed review cause it seems everybody and their Momma has either seen the show or plans to see the show. But here are a couple highlights...1. Mary ripped it, 2. they rocked with a 12 piece band and 3. they both ran through a number of their greatest hits (many had told me Hov was only doing joints off of American Gangster, he did do some AG tracks but def did his joints too), 4. The Dream opened up and killed it, 5. Beyonce came out...then left...cause she can do that, 6. Oprah and Jodie Foster were in the front row. Good show overall, well worth the money and there were no incidents. There were a few arrests for bootlegging, but that's to be expected.

Is Chuck Philips Obsessed!?

Chuck Philips, long time LA Times writer and Biggie/Tupac enthusiast, recently released a new article adding all types of twists and turns to the Biggie and Tupac story. In his newest article he claims that Diddy and Jimmy Henchman played roles in or knew of the attack on Tupac at the Quad Studios in '94. In response to his controversial claims Chucky has come under fire for not citing the sources of this information as well as its delayed release.

My question is this...if Pac is dead, which I believe he is (although some still disagree), how much does this new "development" matter now? Hopefully that doesn't sound insensitive. But unless this ties somehow to Pac or Biggie's murders and will assist is finding their assailants - what's the point? Other than driving traffic to latimes.com, I don't see the purpose. And for that reason I won't link the article - but I'm a sure a quick search will help you stumble on Chuck's piece...pause!

The Soulful Rebellion...

So I've been slacking crazy on this blog thing and forgot to post/promote my showcase "The Soulful Rebellion" which went down last night in NYC. Either way it went down crazy. Had a good turnout, good music, great artists. The next one is April 25, 2008!

"Kudos To Isiah"

In light of all the hoopla about Marbury and the Knicks...thought I'd do a quick flashback to last summer, end of June or beginning of July when we landed then Blazer Zach Randolph. Damn we had hope...and damn Marbury was high as shit!
